Her work is HAES-informed and anti-diet. She does not work toward weight management as a goal. She works toward healing the relationship with food, body, and self, on the client's terms.
Natalie is a second-generation Chinese Canadian, and she brings cultural responsiveness to her work without flattening or assuming. She pays attention to the ways that identity, family systems, and systemic oppression shape each person's relationship to eating, body image, and self-worth. Her style is consent-forward and collaborative, weaving psychoeducation, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mind-body awareness in ways that match each client's stage and readiness.
She brings genuine warmth and, where organic, humor and levity to her sessions. Clients consistently describe feeling seen without judgment. Natalie offers intensives in addition to ongoing therapy for clients ready for deeper, more concentrated work.
Natalie works with adults and adolescents 15+ navigating:
Natalie does not work with weight management requests. She actively refers clients whose needs fall outside her scope to practitioners with more appropriate specialisation.
Natalie works from a biopsychosocial and developmental lens, integrating attachment theory, nervous system awareness, EMDR, CBT, and DBT alongside nutritional science. Sessions begin with stabilisation, tools, and emotional education, then move into deeper transformational work as trust and readiness build.
EMDR readiness is assessed collaboratively. Natalie does not rush into processing. Safety and preparatory work come first, and clients are always in the lead regarding pace.
Her HAES framework means she approaches body size as ethically neutral and does not treat weight as a health metric or treatment target. Intuitive Eating principles inform her nutritional work.
For adolescents, Natalie attends carefully to consent and comfort, including in how parents or caregivers are involved.
